Contend for the Faith

Jude 1:3

“I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith…”

🌟 MAIN IDEA

In a culture drifting from truth, believers must move from passive attendance to active allegiance — contending for the faith with conviction, clarity, and courage.

Jude calls the church to stop being quiet Christians and start standing boldly for the gospel.

🔥 THREE MAIN POINTS

1. A Servant Must Decide — Not Just Attend

Jude opens by declaring, “I am a servant of Jesus Christ.”

Many come to church, but few commit to serving Christ.

Faith requires action, not presence.

You can’t contend for a faith you haven’t committed to.

2. A Servant Must Stand — Even When Culture Shifts

Jude warns that false teachers, false ideas, and false gospels will slip in.

Believers must recognize the spiritual war around them and refuse to be silent.

If the world is bold about sin, the church must be bold about salvation.

3. A Servant Must Fight — Not Fold

To “contend for the faith” means:

Stand firm when others waver

Hold to truth when culture compromises

Live the gospel, not just quote it

Protect the next generation from watered‑down Christianity

You can’t fight for God’s way while insisting on your own way.
