The Word in the Disciple

Oct 7, 2026  •  Rev. Erick McKinley, Rev. Eric Edison

This session marks the transition from who a disciple is to how a disciple lives and multiplies. Centered on 2 Timothy 3:14–17 and Psalm 119:9–11, the discussion explores Scripture as the living foundation of discipleship—“God‑breathed and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction.” Participants reflect on how the Word equips believers for every good work, how lifelong learning and spiritual continuity sustain growth, and how discipleship moves from knowledge to transformation. The conversation emphasizes being rooted in Christ, overcoming fear in witness, living the Word rather than merely quoting it, and building community foundations that others can stand on.
