Living With the Legacy of God’s Presence: Walking in the Spirit Daily

Jun 4, 2025

This Bible study explores what it truly means to live in the manifest presence of God and to walk in the Spirit on a continual basis. Drawing from John 14 and Galatians 5, the lesson emphasizes that believers are not left alone—God has given the Holy Spirit as our Advocate, Helper, and Guide. We examine the daily work of activating the Spirit within us, resisting the pull of our environment, and avoiding the subtle drift that leads us back into fleshly patterns. The study also challenges us to become thermostats who set the spiritual temperature rather than thermometers who merely reflect it. Ultimately, we learn how to sustain our walk with God, overcome barriers such as pride and the desire for acceptance, and live in a way that leaves a spiritual legacy for future generations.

Primary Scriptures

John 14:15–24

Jesus promises the Holy Spirit as our Advocate, who lives with us and in us, empowering us to obey His commands and walk in His presence.

Galatians 5:13–16

Paul teaches that freedom in Christ is not for indulging the flesh but for serving one another in love. Walking in the Spirit keeps us from fulfilling the desires of the flesh.
