Paul teaches that because Christ has already elevated us, changed our identity, and secured our relationship with Him, our focus must shift from earthly distractions to heavenly direction. In Colossians 3:1–10, we learn that spiritual growth begins with setting our minds above, letting go of the old life, and embracing the newness God has given us. When we release what God has removed and stop resuscitating what He has already killed, we can walk in freedom, clarity, and purpose—living as people who truly belong to Christ.
